TERMS & CONDITIONS

Club KIs payment/deposit/refund policy as it relates to properties booked through Club KI.  

An accommodation booking must be confirmed within 5 working days together with a deposit of 50% of the total number of nights booked, with the balance payable 30 days  before arrival.  The booking is to be confirmed with the FULL AMOUNT if the arrival date is within 30 days at the time of booking.

Cancellation fees

For any cancellation - the minimum cancellation fee is the full value of the first night's accommodation

-less than 14 days prior to the date of arrival, the first night or 50% of the total price whichever is the greater plus a $20 handling fee

- less than 7 days notice prior to the date of arrival, 75% of the total price plus a $20 handling fee

- within 24 hours of date of arrival or failure to arrive without notice, 100% of the total price plus a $20 handling fee

No refund is provided in relation to  any of the Club KI listed properties should one or more  guests choose not to stay at the property.

No refund is provided should the client wish to depart the property earlier than the number of nights pre paid for that property.

Errors and Omissions

From time to time an error or omission may occur  in relation to an individual property's pricing and number of people for a booking.

Property rates are based on a minimum number of people which are nominated in the details of a particular property.  In most cases an extra charge is valid for an additional person, per night, details of which will be described at each  individual property's information section.  If the Club KI rate calculator omits one or more people when calculating the total payable per night, the client will be advised by Club KI of such additional amount required, (as advertised at that time for that particular property)  and the client will be requested to pay the additional amount in full within one month (or less) of the arrival date at the property.   Club KI will not be liable in any way for such error in calculating such rates for additional persons.

Changes to bookings

If you wish to change any details of your booking, you must contact our Customer Service Centre – info@clubki.com.au . We will do our best to help you, but we cannot assure you that amendments can occur. Reservations at certain holiday accommodation providers simply cannot be cancelled or changed. Some will offer amendments but with a charge. We will always attempt to settle any issues/complaints fairly and promptly. Whilst Club KI works closely with property owners in ensuring tarriffs are correct and/or up to date on our web site, these can be changed subject to alteration,at times  without notice.  In this case increases requested by property owners are subject to the conditions of the provider and no responsibility will be accepted by Club KI for unforseen omissions or additional costs incurred, nor for misrepresentation.

Club KI reserves the right to refuse any booking and for an owner of a property to cancel any booking already made if the property becomes, for reasons beyond the owner's control, unavailable.  In such case, a full refund of any monies will be made, and neither Club KI nor the owners shall be under any other liability.  Travel Insurance is recommended.

Mastercard and Visa credit cards only are accepted. If you do not have a credit card then please email info@clubki.com.au and we will contact you to arrange the alternative payment. You must be 18 years of age or older to make a payment on our site.

Security of the Club KI website

When booking through Club KI your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology.128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break, and is the industry standard. Club KI uses a secure gateway provided by one of Australia’s AAA banks, Westpac Bank. The Westpac gateway is called Payway. GENERAL INFORMATION

CHILDREN'S Ages :

Unless stipulated on an individual property on the web site, children payable per night between 3 and 14 years.  Under 3 free, over 14 payable as an adult rate.

Bond

Some properties may require a bond.  Club KI can also request a bond at our discretion.  This bond, unless the owner instructs otherwise in relation to damage, breakages or additonal cleaning fees incurred at the property, is refundable within two days after departure from the property.

Linen

All properties will have their linen policy stated on the specific Club KI property page.

Occupancy

Your reservation will permit only you and the members of your party, as advised at the time of booking, to occupy the property for holiday purposes only.

CHECK IN TIME - after 2 pm on the day of arrival.  We ask that you DO NOT ARRIVE any earlier to enable housekeepers sufficient time to prepare the property for you.

CHECK OUT TIME - no later than 10.00 am on the day of departure.  Housecleaners need to access the property to ensure it is ready for the afternoon guests' arrival.

Early check-in or late check-out times can occasionally be negotiated during off-peak season, and must be done so prior to arrival at the property.

KEYS and LOCALITY ADDRESS

Key location and locality address of the property will be advisedto you by email once your reservation has been CONFIRMED.   One set of keys per rental will be provided and any unreturned keys will incur a cost of $50, and by accepting your reservation, you authorise Club KI to deduct an amount of $50  from your credit card should you be unable to return the keys on check out.

ASSISTANCE in arriving and at the PROPERTY

As you arrive on Kangaroo Island please ensure you have the correct address and Key Location Details with you for the property you have booked as Club KI is a booking agency and you may not have phone contact with us at your time of arrival. 

Once you have CHECKED INTO the property of your choice, contact in relation to on site enquiries (for example:  gas for the BBQ, hot water service not working, linen not left) is the responsiblity of the OWNER, as Club KI are a booking agent on their behalf only. 

Should an issue occur during your stay, Club KI are not obliged to refund or discount your booking.

Whilst there are many qualified tradespeople residing on KI, owners cannot guarantee the speediness of repairs due to the remote nature of the Island.

Should, on a rare occasion, it be deemed appropriate by the owner and/or Club KI to relocate the guests to another property, Club KI will not be held liable for any inconvenience or additional costs incurred.

The owner will have available at the property for you TWO EMERGENCY contact numbers, for any on-site assistance. 

Cleaning

You are required to vacate the property in a clean and tidy condition, including dishes washed & put away, BBQs clean, rubbish in bins.  The owner reserves the right to charge an additional $75 cleaning fee, if required, should the property not be left in a clean and tidy condition.  In making your accommodation booking through Club KI you authorise Club KI to charge your credit card an additional $75 cleaning fee, should the property not be left in a clean and tidy condition.

Pets - dogs and other animals

Unless specifically shown in Club KIs marketing (including the Web site) for specific properties, and acknowledged in writing by Club KI, under no circumstances are pets allowed at the property. Owners will have the right to ask guests to leave if this request is ignored. 

No Smoking

Any self contained property booked through Club KI interiors are strictly smoke-free areas.  Please dispose of any butts into the garbage.  One cigarette butt that reaches Kangaroo Island's pristine waterways can kill all Platypus within a 20 km radius. Dispose of thoughtfully, thank you.

Water

Please use water sparingly during your visit as many properties rely totally on RAIN WATER.

Garbage

Rubbish Collection Day will be inlcuded in the information supplied by the property owner.  Please put the bin out on the approriate morning. Excess rubbish must be taken to the Kangaroo Island Waste Centre.  GARBAGE DISPOSAL is the guests' responsiblity, thank you.

Insurance

Club KI is a booking agent for the selected property only and Public Liability is the responsiblity of the owner of the property.  You enter the property totally at your own risk. Whilst Club KI  has been provided with details of Public Liability Insurance of a minimum $10m by the owner of the property, neither Club KI nor the property owner is liable for or holds insurance for rental guests personal property should theft, damage or loss occur during the rental period at such property.  Lock the property when you leave and do not leave valuables in view.  Insurance of personal property is highly recommended.

Damage

You, the guest, is responsible for all damage and breakages. Please report any damage to the home or common property to the owners prior to departure. .  By making your booking through Club KI you will authorise Club KI to charge your credit card for the cost of breakages, damage to furnishings or electrical equipment and the like, during the time of your stay at the property.  All properties are privately owned and you are requested not to move furniture around   Please do not move items  from property to property or take indoor furniture outdoors and vice versa.  Thank you for respecting the owners' house and property during your stay.

Sale of Property

Property owner's personal scenarios can change quite quickly. Unfortunately we do not have control over this!   However, we encourage all property owners and the new purchasers to honour all bookings. A problem in this respect has not yet happened, however if this does occur you will be notified immediately and we will endeavour to assist in organizing alternative accommodation.  The new owners' decisions are out of Club KI's control.

Google maps

State & Local Government – Health & Safety Requirements

Club KI holiday homes are advertised with icons for features such as; maximum people, number of cars etc. Should extra mattresses, caravans or tents, or more vehicles than the icons on the Club KI website display are witnessed by a property owner or Club KI employee, then the guests will be asked to vacate without any reimbursement whatsoever. Dogs: National Parks have a complete ban on dogs. Before you decide to bring your dog please realize this will limit your exploring potential. All homes are pet-free unless otherwise stated.
