Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup Carnival Feb 17th - 19th 2012

Kangaroo Island comes alive over the Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup Carnival weekend held at the beautiful Cygnet River Race Course, a few kilometres from Kingscote.  This country racecourse is transformed at this time of the year with trackside marquees, colourful signs and flags and a party atmosphere. More and more people are making a long weekend of it and enjoying the carnival atmosphere of the Coopers Kangaroo Island Cup. 

The highlight of the weekend being the Kangaroo Island Cup Race Day on Sunday 19th February, there is a lot more to the KI Cup Carnival.


Friday 17th February is the Aurora Ozone Hotel’s Street Party BIG DAY OUT from 12noon to 1am.  On Sunday 19th February, join a crowd of around 3500 people trackside to celebrate all that is great about true country racing as well as fashion, a good variety of food including local KI produce, Kangaroo Island wines and Coopers beer (of course), entertainment and on-course bookmakers, making this a fantastic event.

This year racing on Kangaroo Island will be broadcast around the country with Sky Channel.
